Functions of the Unit

  • Assisting the Registrar in the day to day running of the Unit
  • Attending to requests of the public in line with the Freedom of Information Acts specification.
  • Sensitizing the College community on the provision of the Freedom of Information Acts.
  • Organizing in-house ‘training’ to staff of the unit so as to keep them abreast of the Act requirement.
  • Creating database for the storage of information relevant to the Acts provision.
  • Explore the pro-active mode of information dissemination in line with Freedom of Information Act demands
  • Providing secretariat service to the committee set up on the implementation of the Act with the College.
  • Carrying out any other related duties as may be assigned by the Registrar.
