HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is a programme designed for students in the Departments of Agricultural Education, BED, CSC Ed. HEC, FAA, MUSIC and THA through attachment in industries, offices and relevant organizations.

The SIWES programme started in the College in 1991 with just 2 departments i.e. AGE & HEC. This was in response to the NCCE Minimum Standard that made compulsory participation and pass grade in SIWES for Vocational students as   one of the conditions for the award of NCCE minimum standard (1990)

PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVE

The philosophy and objective of the programme is to expose and prepare students for real life work situation so as to bridge gap between theory and practical.
